Our Goals & Services

  1. To organize culturally appropriate activities, support services and events for
    the benefit and enjoyment of the Hazara community of Newcastle.
  2. To preserve connections with Hazara cultural identity through the
    establishment of cultural education programs and language classes that teach
    community languages, including but not limited to, Dari and Pashto.
  3. To support the Hazara community in observance of cultural-religious events,
    celebrations and ceremonies.
  4. To provide an outlet for the outreach, support, education and
    engagement of youth.
  5.  To engage in cooperation and promote harmony with other similar
    organizations of Hazara and non-Hazara backgrounds

Learning the mother language gives children a strong connection to their identity, family, and cultural heritage. It helps them communicate with loved ones, develop confidence, strengthen literacy and thinking skills, and supports learning additional languages such as English. By maintaining their home language, children build a stronger sense of belonging and pride while gaining valuable skills for their future in a multicultural society.
Newcastle Hazara Community Event
Art and painting classes help children express their creativity, build confidence, and develop imagination through drawing, colours, and artistic exploration. Creative activities support children’s fine motor skills, concentration, problem-solving abilities, and emotional expression while encouraging them to explore their unique ideas in a fun and supportive environment.
