Who We Are?

The Hazara community has a diverse range of cultural and social needs, including the promotion of community language, cultural celebrations, and ceremonies.

The community considers it significant for future generations to be brought up in an environment where they remain connected to their cultural background. It is therefore necessary to form a community organisation that can provide assistance and facilitate services for the benefit and betterment of the Hazara community in the Newcastle region.

The formation of the Newcastle Hazara Community (the Newcastle Hazara Association) would provide the means for facilitating and promoting community participation, social services, inclusive activities, culturally appropriate services, awareness, and connection, as well as access to other services to fulfil these community needs.
